L. Robert "Bob" Jones, 84, Lucasville (formerly of West Portsmouth), Ohio, died Monday, January 30, 2017.  He was the son of Harrison and Kathleen (Whitt) Jones of McDermott, Ohio.  He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy during which he served in the Korea War.  He was a volunteer fireman with the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department in West Portsmouth.  He was elected and served as a Washington Township Clerk.  He was a past Master of the Nauvoo Masonic Lodge 769.  He loved golfing at Elks Country Club and had a passion for woodworking. He was retired from the United States Enrichment Corporation in Piketon, Ohio.   His family was constantly amazed by his creative inventions to solve any problem, both large and small.
He is survived by the love of his life, June Wylodine (Risner) Jones, to whom he has been married for 60 years.  Throughout his life, his joy came from Wylodine and his family.  He was so proud of and loved dearly his children: Robin (Dave) Cooper of Lucasville, Cindy (Walt) Faulconer of Littleton, Colorado, Thomas (Christina) Jones of Baltimore, Ohio and Linda (Jeff) Wasil of Blacklick, Ohio.  He loved spending time with and found such joy in his 8 grandchildren: Ryan (Amber) Adkins; TJ (Rebecca) Adkins; Michael (Tracy) Adkins of Otway; Logan and Kyle Faulconer of Littleton, Colorado; Delaney Jones of Baltimore, Ohio and Carys and Collin Wasil of Blacklick, Ohio; and his 7 Great Grandchildren; Blake and Baylee Adkins; and Brooklyn and Bryson Adkins and Cole, Caiman and Cambry Adkins.  He is survived by 3 brothers that he dearly loved and respected; Curtis (Wilma) Jones of Lucasville, Ohio; Bill (Janet) Jones of London, Ohio and Jeff Jones of London, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his precious son, Randy Jones and 2 sisters Avanelle and Shirley Jones; and a brother, Steve Jones.
Per his request, no services will be held at this time.  A Celebration of Life service for the family will be held at a future date. The Jones family expresses deep appreciation for the support and love of many friends and extended family, especially Paul and Sharon Reiser and Hagar and Linda Spurlock (Roberts) other “brothers” as he called them).  A heartfelt “thank you” to Dr. Elie Saab for his extraordinary care for so many years.

My deepest sympathy to everyone in the Jones family. I love you all very much. Robert always had a very special place in my heart. My fondest memory of him is rocking on the swing in the back yard, relaxing after dinner. I loved to listen to him picking on that guitar. Love you, Louann

Dear Jones family, I hope you all remember me, Harold and Jean's youngest daughter. I am so sorry to have heard about Robert. My heart is breaking for all of you. I have so many happy childhood memories of all of you. I have kept in touch through my sister Debbie Campbell. She and our brother Bud also wants to let you know how sorry they are for all of you. Dear Wylodine and family,
So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. Becky, Mom, Dad, and I all loved him. He was a wonderful man. May God bless you and ease your suffering.
