Jettie Loraine Cooper 88, a lifelong resident of West Portsmouth, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 13, 2017 at the SOMC Hospice Center in Portsmouth.  She was born on August 3, 1928 in Portsmouth, the daughter of the late Edmond and Eunice Farley Hall. She was also preceded by her husband, Howard Eugene Cooper; one sister, Lucy (Jim) Wakefield. Jettie had attended the First Church of God in South Portsmouth and was a member of the First Church of God in New Boston, she was a retired food service director for the Washington Nile School district and had worked as a hostess at the Brown Derby in Portsmouth.
     Jettie survived by 2 sons, Michael (Carla) Cooper and Dave (Robin) Cooper, both of Lucasville; 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
     A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017 at the Adkins-Brant Funeral Home in Portsmouth, with Dr. Gregory Hudson officiating. Interment will follow at Rush Township Cemetery in McDermott. The family will receive friends from 4 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
