Lena Mae Hurley McKinney, 88 of Portsmouth, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born on April 28, 1930 in Rushtown, the daughter of the late Isom and Anna Rowe Adkins. Lena was also preceded in death by 2 husbands, Harold Hurley and Clyde McKinney; 3 brothers, Roger Adkins, Troy Adkins and Boyd “Butch” Hackbusch; and 3 sisters, Elizabeth(Libbey) Hemming, Christine Nourse and Patricia Steele. She was a homemaker.
Lena is survived by two daughters, Teresa (Mike) Hatfield of South Webster and Lydia (Bernard) Bell of West Portsmouth; 4 grandchildren, Earl (Erin) Foster of Chillicothe, Keith O’Dell of South Webster, Amy Sam’s of Portsmouth and Kyle (Halie) Moore of Worthington, KY; 5 great grandchildren, Kristin and Brooklyn Foster, Jennifer, Kaya and Sierra Dutton; one sister, Dorothy McGraw of South Shore, KY; 2 special nieces; Tonya Steele and Tamra Nourse and numerous other nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Lena’s Life will be held at 1pm, Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at the Community Bible Church on Fairground Road in Lucasville, with Pastor Joey Nelson officiating and interment in Lucasville Cemetery.
