Emma Wanda Graff, 88 of Haverhill, passed away at her home on Friday, March 16, 2018. She was born on November 28, 1929 in Ironton, OH, the daughter of the late John Noel and Thelma Mae Lunsford Stewart. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Joe Layton Graff; sister, Winona Halterman; brother, Thomas Stewart; 2 son-in-laws Gene Bond and Charles Haskins; one daughter-in-law, Donna Graff. Wanda was a member of the Haverhill United Methodist Church, a 1947 graduate of Ironton High School, where she was a member of the honor society and was formally had vocal training and loved to sing at a wide variety of events. She was employed at the Haverhill Post office for 35 plus years, where she served as Post Mistress and was the past president of the Haverhill United Methodist Woman’s group and was a member of the Kentucky Colonel. She loved spending time with her family, cooking, crocheting and watching the Wheel of Fortune.
Wanda is survived by her 9 children, Joanne (Don) Black, Wanda Bond, Harry Graff, Doris (Steve) Neal, Glenn (Kelly) Graff, Karen Haskins, Marcie (Larry) Pitts, Darrell (Lou) Graff and Robert (Lu) Graff; 20 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and one sister, Linda Young.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at the Haverhill United Methodist Church, with Pastor Bob Morrow officiating. Interment will follow in Haverhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. on Monday at the Haverhill United Methodist Church and one hour prior to the services on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Haverhill United Methodist Church, at P.O. Box 14, Haverhill, Ohio 45636 in Wanda’s name.
